Experience a district in transition - a guided tour through the MedienHafen with an ascent to the Rhine Tower.
Just how dynamically Düsseldorf is developing is particularly evident in the MedienHafen. Until the 1980s, the area was dominated by warehouses - today the district is in a state of permanent upheaval. Discover spectacular architectural icons on the tour: The quirky buildings by American Frank O. Gehry are just as characteristic of the MedienHafen today as the open forms of the Landtag.

Directions (from IBD Hotel)
Travel time is about 65 minutes ... including some waiting time for the trains you will take since being late is no option.
- Leave the Maritim Hotel through the main entrance on the ground floor next to the reception
- Turn left and walk past the staircase tower of "Parking 8" towards the airport building and enter it
- You are now on the arrivals level - follow the signs for "S-Bahn S11/Local trains"
- Just in front of McDonald’s, take the moving walkway down to the station
- Take the local train S6 or S11 in direction of Düsseldorf central station "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Hbf)"
if you are on the S6 you have to switch to the S8 in the direction of "MG Hbf/Europaplatz" at "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Hbf)" - Get off the train at "D-Völklinger Straße S" (8 stops altogether)
- Take the bus 726 in direction "D-Maxplatz" and get off at "D-Rheinturm" (6 stops)
- Continue on "Stromstraße" in the direction of the bus
- The "Rhine Tower " is some 250 meters directly in front of you. Please find your own way to the base of the tower.

Travel time is approx. 35 minutes
- Take the local train S1 or S11 in the direction "Düsseldorf Flughafen" up to the station "D-Völklinger Straße S"
- Then proceed as indicated above
