Bike tour through the Rhenish metropolis accompanied by a specially trained city guide (approx. 11.5 km).

In Düsseldorf, cyclists are in the lucky position to be able to see almost all the attractions in the city centre without getting off their saddle. At specially interesting points, the guide stops to inform the participants about the city history and tourist highlights.

Route: Apollo-Platz (start) – Stiftsplatz – Rhine embankment promenade – Inselstraße – Ehrenhof – Hofgarten – Corneliusplatz – Königsallee – Hofgarten – Oberkassel bridge – Oberkassel Rhine meadows – Rheinknie bridge – State Parliament/Rhine Tower – "MedienHafen" – Rhine embankment promenade – Schulstraße – Citadellstraße – Bäckerstraße – Orangeriestraße – Maxplatz – Schulstraße – Rhine embankment promenade – Zollstraße (on foot) – city hall – Apollo-Platz (finish)

Bikes for women and men are available. Please choose the required option when booking. Children's bikes may be available if requested, please contact the Orgateam before booking if this is relevant to you.

Includes free entry to the City Museum on the SAME day as the guided tour with the ticket you'll receive from us upon check-in.


Directions (from IBD Hotel)

Travel time is about 75 minutes ... including some potential waiting time for the trains you will take.
  • Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
  • Head for the local transport train station in the basement of terminal C "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal (S)"
  • Take the local train S1 or S11 in the direction of Düsseldorf central station "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof" up to the station "Düsseldorf Völklinger Straße" (8 stops)
  • Take the tram 709 in direction "D-G'heim, Krankenhaus" and get off at the station "D-Landtag/Kniebrücke" (3 stops)
  • Turn left relative to the tram's direction towards the river
  • Keep on the left-hand side of the bridge and head down to the riverbank
  • The destination - that is where the bike tour starts - is some 130 m from the tram stop next to the bridge

Directions (from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof)

Travel time is approx. 25 minutes
  • Take the local train S1 or S11 in the direction away from "Düsseldorf Flughafen" up to the station "Düsseldorf Völklinger Straße"
  • Then proceed as indicated above
  • ... or find some more direct route
