The German NGO EinDollarBrille e.V. under the global roof of GoodVision provides a solution for almost 1 billion people based on beautiful simplicity and delivering real impact.

We are fighting a global emergency: 950 million people in the world need glasses but cannot afford them. They usually suffer from the consequences throughout their lives: children cannot learn properly, adults cannot work. The loss of income of these people amounts to over 269 billion US Dollars per year. The local GoodVision organisations in each program countries gives those in need access to free vision tests and high-quality, affordable glasses produced and provided by own employed and qualified local staff. Those specialists are also taking care that patients receive medical treatment when serious conditions are detected.

After the presentation, a member of the German EinDollarBrille team will demonstrate the production of the GoodVision Glasses with the bending machine.

Notes

Please accept that we charge for this event in order to pay for the rent of the room. It would be unfair to include the rent into the base fee of the IBD+ 2025 making everyone pay for it instead of just those attending the presentations and workshops. Furthermore, experience from former annual gatherings in Germany have shown that if a presentation or workshop has a price tag rather those interested sign up for it thus offering them a better chance to get a slot. Thank you.

We have three rooms for the presentations and workshops in DUS Conference Plus that can accommodate a different number of guests. We will swap rooms if the interest in the event suggests we do so.
