In our busy, stressful everyday life, relaxation techniques help calm the body and mind. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) involves tensing and then relaxing muscles one after the other to reduce tension. Mindfulness means consciously perceiving what is happening around us and within us in the here and now. Imagination can help soothe the mind, reduce stress, and promote a sense of calm. All three are simple yet proven methods to quickly find relaxation in hectic moments. When practiced regularly, they can help reduce stress and foster a more relaxed attitude.

Short vita

After studying psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt, I worked scientifically and clinically at the Psychiatry Department of the University Hospital Frankfurt. I am licensed as a Psychotherapist (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and have had a private practice in Frankfurt since 2015. My main areas include depression, anxiety disorders, and sex therapy.

In my free time, I grow vegetables together with my husband, and we maintain a large forest garden. I enjoy practicing yoga and am learning Chinese.

Notes

Please accept that we charge for this event in order to pay for the rent of the room. It would be unfair to include the rent into the base fee of the IBD+ 2025 making everyone pay for it instead of just those attending the presentations and workshops. Furthermore, experience from former annual gatherings in Germany have shown that if a presentation or workshop has a price tag rather those interested sign up for it thus offering them a better chance to get a slot. Thank you.

The exercises can be performed sitting down. If you prefer to lie down, please bring a mat and pillow.
