The city of Solingen is famous for the production of knives.

Here in the „Deutsches Klingenmuseum“ (German blade museum) you can learn some interesting information about different types of blades and knives, their history and their production. They call themselves the "schärfste Museum Deutschlands" ("schärfste" can mean both "sharpest" and "most attractive").

You are free to explore this museum on your own and will need to buy the entrance tickets yourself. The main idea of this entry is so you can find others to travel there togeter.

Before and after that we recommend you combine the visit to the museum with some other event in Wuppertal and a nice ride in the "Wuppertaler Schwebebahn" which is like a flying tram (nearest station is Wuppertal Vohwinkel).

Important notes

You will need to buy the entrance tickets yourself.
