Directions (from IBD Hotel)

Travel time is about 110 minutes
... including some potential waiting time for the trains you will take and the time locally in Cologne.
  • Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
  • Take the Sky Train in the Airport from "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal C" to "Düsseldorf Flughafen Bahnhof" (the railway station)
  • Walk to the railway train station "Düsseldorf Flughafen"
  • Take the regional train RE1 or RE5 to Cologne central station "Köln Hauptbahnhof"
    Note that the aforementioned regional trains pass through the Düsseldorf central station "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof"

Directions (from Köln Hauptbahnhof)

Travel time is some 30 minutes by foot
  • Leave Cologne central station using the exit to "Bahnhofsvorplatz" (on the side with platform 1)
  • Cross the square in front of the central station heading slightly to the left
  • Head into the "Trankgasse"
  • Continue straight ahead - the street is named "Komödienstraße" after about 100m
  • After some 200 m turn left into "Tunisstraße"
  • After 400m turn right into "Glockengasse"
  • You'll reach the destination after some 50m on the left-hand side just after "Schwertnergasse"

Hint: You want to visit several events in Cologne so that you have to spend a bit over an hour to get to Cologne only once.
