M(.A. history) Jan Sieckmann will lead you through the city district of Cologne from the Cathedral (just from the outside) to its picturesque houses, numerous legendary places and stories about 2000 years.
After this tour you will want to return for a longer visit!
Please note that we do offer guided tours into the Cathedral as well as its rooftop.

Good shoes recommended and since we will walk it is perhaps of limited appeal for someone in a wheelchair

Travel time is about 90 minutes
... including some potential waiting time for the trains you will take and the time locally in Cologne.
- Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
- Take the Sky Train in the Airport from "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal C" to "Düsseldorf Flughafen Bahnhof" (the railway station)
- Walk to the railway train station "Düsseldorf Flughafen"
- Take the regional train RE1 or RE5 to Cologne central station "Köln Hauptbahnhof"
Note that the aforementioned regional trains pass through the Düsseldorf central station "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof"

Travel time is some 10 minutes
- Leave Cologne central station using the exit to "Bahnhofsvorplatz" (on the side with platform 1)
- The Cologne Cathedral is slightly to the left
- Head for the right side of the cathedral
- There you will see a big finial flower ("Kreuzblume") where you meet your guide Jan at 10:00h
Depending on your arrival time you'll have the time to take a look into the cathedral before the tour starts
Hint: You want to visit several events in Cologne so that you have to spend a bit over an hour to get to Cologne only once.
