Guided Tour Düsseldorf Merkur Spiel-Arena (Football/Soccer Stadium)

      

Merkur Spiel-Arena is a football (soccer) stadium in Düsseldorf and hosts „Fortuna Düsseldorf“ (2. Bundesliga).

It was built 2002-2004 and the capacity is currently 54,600 (9,97 standing).
The stadium is also venue for concerts, international football matches and other sports events.

Directions (from IBD Hotel)

• Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
• Head for the local transport train station in the basement of terminal C "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal (S)"
• Take the bus 760 in direction "D-Roßpfad" (7 stops)
• Leave the bus at the station "Freiligrathplatz"
• After leaving the bus head to the subway station "Freiligrathplatz" (some 100 m)
• Take the subway U78 in direction "Merkur SPIEL-ARENA/Messe" up to "Merkur SPIEL-ARENA/Messe" (2 stops)
• In the station, please follow the signs to the "Tulip Inn Arena Hotel" (some 100 meters further on in the direction of the train)
• The Tulip Inn is on your right

Directions (from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof)

• Take the subway U78 in direction "Merkur SPIEL-ARENA/Messe" up to "Merkur SPIEL-ARENA/Messe" (14 stops)
  Please note that not all U78 run all the way to the arena.
• In the station, please follow the signs to the "Tulip Inn Arena Hotel" (some 100 meters further on in the direction of the train)
• The Tulip Inn is on your right
