Peter Heide

New and classic from standard and Latin ballroom dance – the so-called ten Dances.

This is the second part - it is kind of a sequel to the first one (Ballroom and Latin Dance Course - Part 1) and thus not for complete beginners

A little teaser: this time, the Viennese Waltz and the Paso Doble won't be making an appearance
... but the former is on offer too: Hold the Pose: Poise and Posture in the Viennese Waltz.

Short vita

Peter is a member of Mensa since 1988. In addition to holding various positions – including over ten years as committee member for "Education and Career" ("Bildung und Beruf") – he has frequently taught dance-related workshops at Annual Gatherings (Frankfurt, Passau, Bonn, Regensburg), EMAGs, Mensa New Year’s events, MinD Academies, and Junior Camps.

Peter remains an active participant at competitions. He completed his coach certification in 2011 and has served as a competition host and chairperson at several hundred national and international competitions and is now licensed to judge across several federal states. In 2024 and 2025, you’ll find him, among others, at www.hessen-tanzt.de and www.die-ostsee-tanzt.de.

Notes

Please accept that we charge a bit for this course in order to pay for the rent of the room of the dance school. Thank you.

Important notes

You need to bring shoes suitable for ballroom dance. The course is in a dancing school on good parquet so that regular street shoes are not ok.

The course starts at 12:15 to give you a moment to change shoes etc.

Hint for booking

When booking please indicate if you dance as follower or as leader since the plan is that you dance in pairs.

If you want to e.g. join this as a couple, then book two slots and then set the options to 0 for the first (default) one and 1 for the two "I dance as follower" and "I rather lead" and put the membership number or email address of the second person into the field "I book for me and...".
