Highly intelligent people tend to struggle with active listening. Our natural cognitive patterns can lead us to judge, analyse, search for solutions or jump to conclusions too quickly instead of fully absorbing what the other person is saying. We have a tendency to multitask mentally.

Also, most of the time, we focus on content over emotion or the relational aspect of communication. These habits may cause conflicts, lead to social challenges, ruin our relationships, not to mention our deficiencies in collaboration or teamwork.

In this workshop, you are invited to join and practice a few simple techniques to improve your active listening skills.

After the program, you can use these tools in both your work and personal life to
  • enhance your relationships,
  • reduce the number of your conflicts,
  • and achieve a deeper level of collaboration and trust.

Why not experiment with new communication habits? By becoming a better listener, you'll find the path to be a better problem solver, a better leader, a better team player and a better friend, spouse or parent.

Notes

Please accept that we charge for this event in order to pay for the rent of the room. It would be unfair to include the rent into the base fee of the IBD+ 2025 making everyone pay for it instead of just those attending the presentations and workshops. Furthermore, experience from former annual gatherings in Germany have shown that if a presentation or workshop has a price tag rather those interested sign up for it thus offering them a better chance to get a slot. Thank you.
