Bouldering is climbing at jump height. Thick soft floor mats on the floor prevent potential injuries. No previous experience is required for bouldering, as you will learn everything you need to know on your first visit.
The monkeyspot hall has 1300 square metres and approx. 250 bouldering routes.
We'll have 90-minute trainer lesson from 12:30-14:00: bouldering rules, safety aspects and first techniques or tips.
Afterwards you can of course stay in the hall and continue bouldering.
Notes
To have the time to change clothing and ensure you're registered and accepted the rules the event starts half an hour before the training session starts.
Minors
Minors aged 16 or 17 are permitted to go bouldering if they bring a printed parental permit ("Einverständniserklärung") of their parents.

Please bring sportswear and if you have indoor climbing shoes; alternatively you may wear indoor sneakers.
If needed indoor climbing shoes can be rented for an extra charge - please check the option if needed.
All participants must register with their first and last name, date of birth, home address, email address, and phone number and accept the hall rules as well as the storing of their registration and acceptance of the rules.We recommend and will remind you in time that once you have a slot booked (i.e. really have one and not just a waiting list slot) for this event you register online in advance at
monkeyspot.de/register (you can switch the language of that site near the top) to speed things up.

Travel time is about 80 minutes ... including some waiting time for the trains you will take since being late is no option.
- Leave the Maritim Hotel through the main entrance on the ground floor next to the reception
- Turn left and walk past the staircase tower of "Parking 8" towards the airport building and enter it
- You are now on the arrivals level - follow the signs for "S-Bahn S11/Local trains"
- Just in front of McDonald’s, take the moving walkway down to the station
- Take the local train S6 or S11 to Düsseldorf central Station "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Hbf)" (5 stops)
- Take the local subway U76 in direction "D-Lörick" up to "D-Löricker Straße"
- At the crossing turn left relative to the subways route into " Schiessstraße"
- After 200 meters turn left at second side street where " Schiessstraße" continues straight ahead and branches off to the left for house numbers 44-68
- That street then makes a right turn - continue on the " Schiessstraße"
- The destination is on the left-hand side
