Terms we know. But what exactly is behind them? How does it come about and who are the people behind these terms? Get to know Düsseldorf from a different perspective on this city tour. The city guides are sellers of the homeless newspaper 'fiftyfifty' and were themselves at home on the streets.

The two-hour city tour - 'the only flat viewing without a roof' - strengthens understanding of homelessness and poverty and shows that Düsseldorf is not just a city of the rich, but a city of stark contrasts.

Directions (from IBD Hotel)

• Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
• Head for the local transport train station in the basement of terminal C "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal (S)"
• Take the bus 721 in the direction "D-Gothaer Weg" up to "D-Stahlstraße" (20 stops)
• Leave the bus and continue on for some 50 meters on "Ellerstraße" in the direction of the bus
• Turn right into "Höhenstraße"
• After some 200m you reach a place that you simply cross straight ahead
• The destination is on the other side of the place, the door is facing the place.

Directions (from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof)

• Start on "Konrad-Adenauer-Platz"with your back to the main exit of the central station Düsseldorf
• Turn left, pass the police cars/station and go straight into the pedestrian zonehead left (your back is towards the station)
• After 150 meters turn slightly left onto "Harkortstraße"
• After another 150 meters at the end "Harkortstraße" turn left into "Ellerstraße" that passes underneath the rails
• After some 250 meters turn right onto "Linienstraße"
• After 400 meters you reach a small place
• The destination is on the right side of the place, the door is facing the place.
