Dr. Noelle Stillman

Come learn about how time with your pet is good for your mental health!

In this presentation, we will explore the physical, social, and cognitive benefits of interaction with animals, but especially the ways animals can help improve depression, anxiety, and overall life satisfaction.

Noelle will present the current evidence of the far-reaching benefits of animal interaction, as well as the results of her own doctoral research studies and current work using animal therapy to treat depression, anxiety, and other conditions.

Notes

Please accept that we charge for this event in order to pay for the rent of the room. It would be unfair to include the rent into the base fee of the IBD+ 2025 making everyone pay for it instead of just those attending the presentations and workshops. Furthermore, experience from former annual gatherings in Germany have shown that if a presentation or workshop has a price tag rather those interested sign up for it thus offering them a better chance to get a slot. Thank you.

We have three rooms for the presentations and workshops in DUS Conference Plus that can accommodate a different number of guests. We will swap rooms if the interest in the event suggests we do so.
