From July 2023 to April 2025, I traveled alone with my twenty-year-old Toyota RAV4 and a rooftop tent, fulfilling a long-held dream: an adventurous journey from Freising all the way to India. My route took me through Eastern Europe, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan before reaching the Indian subcontinent. The return journey was no less spectacular, leading me back to Germany via Afghanistan and the countries of Central Asia. Along the way, I experienced breathtaking landscapes, remarkable hospitality, and moments that left a lasting impact on me. This journey was not only a geographical adventure but also a deeply personal journey of pushing limits. My talk is for everyone who feels the call of wanderlust, loves adventure, and wants to discover the world beyond the beaten path.

After graduating with a Master’s degree in Economics in Berlin, Eva found it challenging to immediately establish herself in the career path she aspired to pursue. Realizing that a conventional route was not the right fit at that moment, she decided to follow a long-held ambition and embarked on an extended overland journey across Asia, which she was able to fund by working remotely along the way. Since returning to Germany in April, Eva has begun a second Master’s degree in Persian Studies. She is currently based in Berlin, where she is completing a trainee programme focused on international cooperation and sustainable development.
