Experience an exciting guided tour of the Lenbachhaus, one of Munich's most renowned art museums. Known for its world-famous collection of "Der Blaue Reiter" (The Blue Rider) as well as modern and contemporary art, an inspiring tour of selected highlights from the exhibition awaits you here.

The Lenbachhaus, named after Munich's prince of painters Franz von Lenbach, is located in a magnificent historic villa in the heart of the city's art district. In addition to masterpieces by artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc, Gabriele Münter and Paul Klee, the museum also regularly offers exciting special exhibitions and innovative presentations on the current art scene.

The guided tour is paid already and starts at 4:15pm; however, you will have to buy the ticket for the museum itself beforehand. Wegbeschreibung (ab Tagungshotel)

  • Leave the hotel and cross the street.
  • Keep right and follow the elevated road for about 50 meters.
  • Just before the Sudeten German Museum, turn left onto Riggauerweg.
  • Follow the road down the hill and turn right.
  • Continue along Riggauerweg (do not turn onto Lilienberg) until you reach the intersection of Lilienstraße and Rosenheimer Straße.
  • Cross the street at the traffic lights towards the bridge.
  • Walk across the Ludwigsbrücke bridge to the “Deutsches Museum” tram stop.
  • Take tram 17 (towards Amalienburgstraße).
  • Travel to Sendlinger Tor (4 stops, journey time approx. 10 minutes).
  • At Sendlinger Tor, go into the subway station and head for the mezzanine level in the direction of U2 “Feldmoching” (via Hauptbahnhof).
  • Take the U2 towards “Feldmoching” and travel 2 stops (5 minutes) to Königsplatz.
  • Take the “Luisenstraße / Lenbachhaus” exit at the front of the train.
  • Cross the street at the surface and head straight for the Lenbachhaus.
