1,5 -2 hrs English-speaking guided tour at the disused steelworks Meiderich in Duisburg Landscape Park

Proceed to UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein Coal Mine (driving time approx. 45 minutes), after arrival time to grab a short lunch snack

• Tour 1: About coal and miners on the path of coal at the colliery (60 minutes)
  On this guided tour, visitors learn about the production processes of what was once the largest and most powerful coal mine in the world, from the shaft hall, where the coal used to arrive, through the Wipperhalle, screening plant and workshops, to the working and living conditions of the Zollverein miners.
• Tour 2: Coal washing with a view (60 minutes)
  Guided tour through the coal washing plant - On this guided tour, visitors learn about the original facilities of what was once the largest building at the Zollverein colliery and the second part of the coal route.

After the tour there is time on your own. You can explore the Red Dot design museum on your own.
