From Lilienthal gliders to Eurofighters, from flying boats to rockets: around 70 aircraft, engines, and models tell the story of aviation history in the aircraft hangar. Admission to the museum must be paid separately.

Tickets for the museum must be purchased separately!

Please note: Due to the S-Bahn closure, we can only accept the directions at this time and are therefore allowing significantly more time for the journey; the route may change again in advance and possibly be shortened.

Hinweise

The walk from the Station to the museum takes around 20-30 Minutes.

Wegbeschreibung (ab Tagungshotel)

  • Leave the hotel and cross the street.
  • Keep right and follow the elevated road for about 50 meters.
  • Just before the Sudeten German Museum, turn left onto Riggauerweg.
  • Follow the road down the hill and turn right.
  • Continue along Riggauerweg (do not turn onto Lilienberg) until you reach the intersection of Lilienstraße and Rosenheimer Straße.
  • Cross the street at the traffic lights towards the bridge.
  • Walk across the Ludwigsbrücke bridge to the “Deutsches Museum” tram stop.
  • Take tram 17 (towards Amalienburgstraße) and travel 7 stops (journey time approx. 15 minutes) to Hauptbahnhof Nord.
  • Get off, cross the street, and follow the signs to tracks 26-36.
  • Take the next S-Bahn line S1 towards “Freising/Airport” to the station “Oberschleißheim” (the train has two sections – it doesn't matter which one you board). 9 stops, travel time approx. 25 minutes.
  • Leave the station on the right-hand side in the direction of travel towards Rotdornstraße.
  • Turn right and follow Rotdornstraße.
  • Before the large bridge, turn slightly left into Mittenheimer Straße.
  • Follow this road to the large intersection and continue straight ahead. You are now on Effnerstraße.
  • Cross the castle courtyard, after which you will enter a slightly wooded area.
  • Keep slightly to the right after the small canal.
  • You will see the museum in front of you.
