It is a bus tour and (for obvious reasons) some insight into science - especially chemistry - is recommended.

Important notes

You have to be at the entrance building about 30 minutes prior to the tour start for check in - these 30 minutes are part of the event's time.

The company requires a list of participants with first and last name and date of birth. If you book this event, you agree that we pass this data on.

For identification you need one of these on you - or you can´t participate:
  • In case of German citizenship: a valid identity card/official identity card substitute or a valid passport/official passport substitute
  • In the case of citizenship of a Schengen full user state: a valid, officially recognised national identity card corresponding to the German identity card or a valid, officially recognised passport/passport replacement corresponding to the German passport.
  • If you are a citizen of another country: a valid, officially recognised passport/passport replacement equivalent to the German passport.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to accept other documents, such as a driving licence.

You accept that this ticket is non-transferable as of October 1st since we then pass on the personal information - and everybody must book it individually due to the need to send your personal data.

Directions (from IBD Hotel)

Travel time is about 120 minutes ... including some potential waiting time for the trains you will take.
  • Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
  • Head for the local transport train station in the basement of terminal C "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal (S)"
  • Take the local train S6 in the direction "Köln-Worringen" up to the station "Chempark" (18 stops)
  • After leaving the train station in the travel direction turn right onto "Otto-Bayer-Straße"
  • At next crossing cross the wide street and then turn right onto "Düsseldorfer Straße"
  • After some 160m Chempark is to the left with a footpath and parkting lot in front
  • Please report to the Chempark Leverkusen Visitor Reception Center located at the eastern end of the Carl Duisberg Park on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Allee.
    Follow the signs for “Chempark, Zentraler Besucherempfang.” There is plenty of parking available at the Center, and this is also where you will receive your visitor ID card.

  • The S6 passes through Düsseldorf central sation "Düsseldorf Haf"
  • Proceed accordingly indicated above
