Immerse yourself in the world of authentic German cooking!

In this intimate setting for 12, you'll work together to create a delightful regional four-course menu using only the freshest regional and seasonal products, guided by a renowned chef.

This culinary expert brings a wealth of experience from various Michelin-starred kitchens and international culinary adventures, now returning to share his passion for his roots.

Once the cooking is done, relax and enjoy your culinary achievements with good company. All drinks, including a selection of wines, are included.

The menu will be "Rheinische Küche – Traditionell & Modern" (Rhenish cuisine - traditional & modern)
  • Reibekuchen mit Lachs aus dem Rauch (Potato pancakes with salmon from the smoke)
  • Himmel & Ääd with Flönz (Black sausage/pudding with apples and onions)
  • Düsseldorfer Senfrostbraten mit Altbierjus (Düsseldorf mustard roast with Altbier jus)
  • Grillaschtörtchen mit Dübeltje-Pflaume (Semi-frozen cake with plums that have been soaked with Dübeltje liquer)

Wine (=alcohol) and other beverages will be available.

This is a hands-on cooking experience, and your participation in preparing the meal as a group is expected and encouraged.

Please inform the chef of any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking or arriving. They will do their best to accommodate you.

Directions (from IBD Hotel)

Travel time is about 70 minutes ... including some waiting time for the trains you will take since being late is no option.
  • Take the foot bridge in front of Maritim Hotel towards the airport terminal C
  • Head for the local transport train station in the basement of terminal C "Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal (S)"
  • Take the local train S1 or S11 towards Düsseldorf central station "Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof"
  • Get off the train at the station "Wehrhahn" (4 stops)
  • Take the subway U71 in direction "D-Hellriegelstraße"
    Or the subway U72 in direction "D-Benrath Btf"
    Or the subway U73 in direction "D-Uni Ost/Botanischer Garten"
    Or the subway U83 in direction "D-Hellriegelstraße"
  • Get off at "D-Benrather Straße U" (4 stops)
  • Underground, follow the signs to "Ausgang Benrather Straße Carlsplatz" and take the escalators up to "Benrather Straße". Make sure to go west in the direction of "Carlsplatz". You should be passing a "Lidl" supermarket to your left.
  • After a 180m walk on "Benrather Straße" you reach the destination "Frank Petzchen Kochbücher Kochseminare" through a small passage to the right.

Travel time is approx. 25 minutes
  • Take the local train S1 or S11 in the direction "Düsseldorf Flughafen" up to the station "Wehrhahn"
  • Then proceed as indicated above
