For annual gatherings in Germany the organisation committee usually looks for several hotels, asks them to set aside some rooms for Mensa and once they are fully booked the visitors need to search for accommodation on their own unless we can get more rooms in the odd hotel.
For IBD
+ 2025 we use a more versatile and comfortable apporoach for you with the help of
KUONI Tumlare. They pre-selected several interesting hotels and those are on offer on our booking page on the main tab - and that offer might change in due course.
In addition – and this is a really nice service – they offer pretty much all hotels and accommodation available in the area so that you need not check other booking portals for alternatives.
We obviously picked a good hotel since they seem pretty busy accomodating bigger events with all their board rooms – we share the hotel with another event those days. Due to this the rooms in
Maritim Hotel Düsseldorf do not come cheap – we did reserve the rooms for the IBD delegates (certainly) with or without partner as well as some for the on-site support team.
If you are not a delegate but think we should (try to) give you a room in Maritim Hotel - 179€ for a single room and 203€ for a double per night and the stay must start on Wednesday or Thursday and end on Sunday or Monday and is non-cancellable - that is a better rate than on the
regular booking page. Unfortunately we only have very few rooms in addition the ones for the delegates); please send us an email to
ibd2025@mensa.de it you want a room in Maritim Hotel. For now we can't say for sure how many rooms we will have to pass on to non IBD Delegates since it might be that there's more delegates than anticipated and we need to ensure rooms for them but we have some rooms to pass on for sure.
But no worries, the
Sheraton Düsseldorf Airport Hotel is some 500m from the Maritim so we offer accommodation nearly in the main hotel and in similar hotel quality. The
Lindner Hotel Düsseldorf Airport is some 15 minutes by foot. Furthermore the two hotels
ibis Düsseldorf Airport and
Novotel Düsseldorf Airport are at the far end of the Düsseldorf Airport so that you can use the Sky Train of the Airport to commute.
In addition to the Sheraton Kuoni focussed on hotels that are close by and can be reached from Maritim Hotel by public transport as well as some near the Düsseldorf main station... and if those pre-selected ones are not ok for quite a few more are on the booking web site.
