The Time for Wishes
During the wishing phase that lasts several weeks after booking opens, you can take your time to submit and adjust all your preferences. Your wishes may overlap in time, and you may even select the same event on multiple dates.
After the whishing phase, an algorithm will allocate seats for all simultaneously, in the fairest way possible. It will automatically resolve overlaps and duplicates for you. The timing of when you reserve an event during the wishing phase does not affect the outcome, as the allocation algorithm does not take submission order into account.
Since the organising committee will see your preferences, it will (try to) adjust the program. Group sizes or the number of seats for popular events may be increased, while under booked events can be downsized or cancelled. This allows the organisers to accommodate as many guests as possible. You will be informed about any changes, and newly added events can still be included in your schedule before the automatic seat allocation.
Hint: The earlier you submit your wishes, the sooner the organising committee can identify high-demand events and try to arrange additional seats thus increasing your chances.
The Grey Bars
If the booking page shows either or both of these grey bars, please click on them to reveal the options and most important the days and "inside" these the events.
The Booking Page
Click on the days to unveil the events of that day; the button "Unfold all" will then unfold all events of that day revealing the booking options.

Wish an Event (Reserve it)
In the image below the "Company Tour" event has already been reserved and for the "Presentation" you can see the drop-down menu where I intend to reserve it.
In order to remove an event from your list, simply remove the reservation.
Priorities
If you have overlapping events, you can assign different priority levels, so the algorithm understands your first, second, and third choices. The number of seats reserved shows how many others are applying for the available spots, helping you decide whether lowering the priority is a good idea.
For multiple sessions of the same event, you should assign the same priority, as you will only be allocated one of them. You can find a detailed explanation and some tips on
Priorities.
Please note that other participants are also assigning priorities – if you book an event with a lower priority than others who have selected it as a high priority, they will be given preference.
If unsure, just leave the priority at "**" (two stars) – this is the safe fallback :‐)
Attention: You really want to read the page on
Priorities thoroughly before changing the priorities – please do not blame us if your wishes are ignored due to you having set your priorities poorly.
Group Bookings
Most events can be booked for multiple participants at once. Either all requested seats will be allocated to you, or none at all; the system ensures that your group is not split up. However, if you plan to attend certain events alone, you must book them separately under your individual account.
All tips and tricks can be found on
Group Bookings, and you want to read it to know how to indicate the ones you book for.
Important note: Such group bookings are only valid if the ones you book for have been added to the respective fields and have booked the main event too.
Wanna help?
As usual with bigger events we hope for others to assist during the event.
For most events we want to have someone who picks up the visitors of an event at the main venue – a so-called guide who is usually a person visiting that event anyhow. If you care to do that, please tick the checkbox in the global options:
In addition, we might have events you can book if you would like to assist with the check-in. That are events so that you can book them whenever time fits your plans.
